At 08:50am on Friday the 14th of August 2015 David boarded the plane bound for Bali to attend the 2015 Best Western Australasian Convention.
For two years now UBC Web Design has been a trade supplier of Websites, Search Engine Optimisation and Search Engine Marketing for Best Western Hoteliers throughout Australia.

The whole point of the trip was to make new business connections with Best Western Hoteliers and show them how we can support and improve their business by utilising our fantastic websites powered by our in house (Closed Source) ACE Web Engine.

The Hotel and Convention

David checked into the Best Western Premier Sunset Road in Kuta which is where both the convention was held and David was staying.

The Police Escort To Dinner

Heading off to dinner one night David was lucky enough to have a police escort to his dining experience.

A trip that usually takes 4 hours to make took them a mere 1 hour with the help of a police escort for 5 bus loads full of Best Western Hoteliers and suppliers.

The buses made their way to Karma beach to be greeted by beautiful sunset views right on the beach with the tables set formally with white table cloths, wine and silver cutlery.

During this police escort the bus drivers followed the police car in all situations including on the wrong side of the road passing all traffic in the left hand lane!

David also met with an array of people which include David Kong, President of Best Western International, Walter Marcheselli, Vice President of Best Western Italy and Robert Anderson, Chief Executive of Best Western Australasia.

Bali Sea Turtle Society (BSTS)

While David was in Bali he was lucky enough to visit The Giant Sea Turtle on Kuta Beach which is where the baby turtles are protected and hatched. They then make their 80 metre journey across the beach to the sea.

This is a great tourist attraction for visitors to see as well as allowing 100% of turtles hatched to make their journey to the sea as visitors are lining the beaches which keeps the birds and other predators away.

To find out more please like the Bali Sea Turtle Society Facebook page and visit their website.
